Christmas in November??? |
||
At
El Sembrador, because our boys leave right after graduation on the
second Sunday of November, we celebrate Christmas early with our
students. For some, it is the first time to celebrate a Christian
Christmas. We have the Christmas story in drama, a short message, songs,
food, and, of course, gifts. Each boy is given a special goody bag with
something of their choice as well as a surprise and a bag of candy. |
||
This
year, they received either a basketball, volleyball, or soccer ball of
their choice. The surprise was a t-shirt with a verse and drawing that
was meaningful to some of this year’s church services and activities. |
||
The
food was wonderful. Of course, it was pretty typical of Honduran food
with Honduran tacos (not to be confused with Mexican tacos), cupcakes,
candy canes, etc. |
||
Each
student received his (or her) gift with a smile and twinkle in the eyes.
Pray that our students will take the salvation message to heart so that
they will understand the real meaning of Christmas. |
