Christmas in November???

At El Sembrador, because our boys leave right after graduation on the second Sunday of November, we celebrate Christmas early with our students. For some, it is the first time to celebrate a Christian Christmas. We have the Christmas story in drama, a short message, songs, food, and, of course, gifts. Each boy is given a special goody bag with something of their choice as well as a surprise and a bag of candy.

This year, they received either a basketball, volleyball, or soccer ball of their choice. The surprise was a t-shirt with a verse and drawing that was meaningful to some of this year’s church services and activities.

The food was wonderful. Of course, it was pretty typical of Honduran food with Honduran tacos (not to be confused with Mexican tacos), cupcakes, candy canes, etc.

Each student received his (or her) gift with a smile and twinkle in the eyes. Pray that our students will take the salvation message to heart so that they will understand the real meaning of Christmas.
